"Deck"-orating...Part Two

First Things First...
What is it I don't like about decks, you ask? I was thinking about this the other day and realized that the biggest issue I have with them is the enclosed feeling. As opposed to a patio which is open to the rest of the yard, a deck has railings and posts, which automatically shut you in. So, in order to soften ours and to give us privacy on the one side of our yard that isn't so private, I set up a row of Arborvitae in simple pots that blend in with the color of the stain on the deck.
Don't get me wrong, we love our neighbors, but I thought I might traumatize them if they had to see me every day in my robe and slippers going about my watering.
The second item was a no-brainer. What do you do for instant "warmth" on your deck? Why, a rug, of course!
I scored this one at Home Depot where they were already putting summer items on clearance. Got it for 50% off!

So, what's next? I'll give you a hint...it involves this...

Welcome to blog land and thanks so much for the sweet comment. I love the rug you put on your deck. I added one to mine too this year. One thing it covers up our ugly deck floor. I hope you will come back and sign up for the giveaway I am having for a Lisa Leonard jewelry design gift certificate for $50. She has some neat stuff to choose from if you win.
