100 Posts! How did that Happen?

It snuck up on me!
I never thought I would make it past say, Post Number 5!
And yet, here we are...
Number 100 Baby!

Have you ever had one of those ideas that sound so cute and clever in your head and then when it comes to actually executing it, something like this happens?

Look at those pained expressions!

"Why are you torturing us, Mom?"

This is why you should never ask your children to try and do something cute for mommy that involves them having to stand next to each other holding up signs as you are getting ready to leave for school in the morning.

It rapidly went down hill...

It only got worse from there so I will spare you the gory details!

But, it kind of reminded me of another time I tried to take their picture together.

Gotta love it!

So, what does a person do for their 100th post?

I don't have any fabulous projects to show you.
I don't have a Giveaway going on.
I'm exhausted from using that glue gun and doing that stenciling yesterday. Whew!

So, why not just give you a little bit more of...

 ME!

I wonder which bowl they used to cut my hair?

What do I mean by more of Me?

Well, I'm now officially open for Questioning!
What kind of questions you ask? Well, anything and everything you would like to know about me, my life, my family, my home, my faith, my astonishing crafting skills...you get the idea.
I, of course, will expect you all to remain...ahem..."appropriate" in your questions. And, I warn you that the last time I told you things about myself you heard things like this...

From Post # 75

I am a fairly neat and tidy person but, I have been known to clean my baseboards and mop up milk off of the floor with my socks!

Who knew they could be so multi-functional?

And this...

I know EVERYTHING there is to know about the "Little House on the Prairie" series! I wish there was a game show about it because I would be the Champion! Go ahead...ask me anything...I dare you! I even ran into the actress who played Miss Beadle once at the mall.

It would have been thrilling except that it was in Victoria's Secret which just made it fairly traumatizing...

Let's just say she wasn't buying a new petticoat!

So, go ahead!
Help me celebrate this milestone by leaving me a comment with your question and I will be answering them here and there in the next few posts.

Before you do though, I want to let you in on a little secret.

There are some very exciting things happening for the girls of

Congratulations on 100!!!! I am new to this so I hope to reach 100 also. Your kids remind me of mine when I try to get pictures of them. Well I guess my question would be what state do you live in and have you ever lived in the south? I ask because I am from the west, California, and now live in the south, South Carolina.

Congratulations on 100! I am new to your blog and I think it's wonderful. Your children make me laugh (Mine is now 21 and I miss those old days when she did things like yours). I'm still laughing when you said there is something wrong with putting your "toilet" on the internet. You are so cute! I love to visit and now that your sister is going to be a co-blogger WONDERFUL. Have a great day!

Congratulations on post #100. Your posts are always inspiring. It's so nice that both you and your sister blog. I'm going to have to give the question to you some thought. I'll be back when I think of a good one.

Congratulations on 100! Now, here's your question, what inspired you to begin blogging in the first place?

Congrats on your 100th post, and may I say I have enjoyed everyone of them I have read! Your picture of you in that dress is sooo cute, I have one very, very simular of me. LOL! That was so nice of your kids to help you out with this post. They are precious! Here's my question, why do you call yourself Southern in your heart? Have you ever lived in the South before? Maybe you've told us that before but I either forgot or missed that one! I cannot wait to see what you and your sister have planned.

I grinning from EAR to EAR at the picture of your kids. They are so adorable!!

Congrats on 100 posts. You have such a wonderful blog, one of my very favorites, and I'm glad I found you.

Or, did you find me? I can't remember.

Anyway, congrats.

I am similar in that I'm an awesome authority on the Little House BOOKS and the life of LIW, but not necessarily the series.

Here's my question: What made you so southern in your heart?

Green Door Girl said...

yeah 100! Okay, my question is this (since I am new to this blog) - ok well multiple questions :)
What states have you visited in the South and for how long?
What state in the south do you want to visit?
If you could pick a southern state to live, which would it be? :)

Congrat on post #100! How exciting. Love the pictures of your litle "rascals" and they made me laugh too. Went over to meet your sister and am looking forward to whatever joint venture you embarking on.

I reserve the right to come back when I think up a really good question! :) :)

Congratulations, Vanessa, I'm sure you and your sister will cook up something great! :)

Your Sister said...

Okay my turn. What was your worst haircut ever and what did your sister call you? Have you ever "borrowed" something from your sister without asking permission at some point in your pre-teen years and what was it? And last but not least did you ever sneak out of the house without Mom and Dad knowing? heheheh....

Congratulations on your 100th post! I'm not sure which number I became a follower at but I've enjoyed the journey and look forward to 100 more! You're always so very entertaining and the kids look adorable with their signs, even if they're not cooperating! Their expressions are priceless.

Here is my question - which i stole from another blogger somewhere. What is your dream room - Post ONE pic of a room that epitomizes your style in that one and only photo. (yes, i'm evil LOL)

Vanessa- You have come a long way, baby! I love those pictures of your kids...especially the look on your daughter's face in the first one. How funny is that? Not very to her, I'm sure!

It is so much fun to have met you here and I have really loved getting to know you. Hmmm...you want questions? Be careful what you wish for...

What is the worst thing you ever did as a teenager? And this better be good (and true cuz your sister reads your blog)..lol Diana

Yay, you!!! Congrats on #100.

Now, here's your test...how much did the custom made tables by Pa sell for in the "Legacy" episode?

Oh, and the only thing worse than seeing Ms. Beadle buy certain unmentionables would be seeing the Rev. Alden sitting at some bar.

We're big LHotP fans here, too, as you can tell. We were able to visit Laura's final home and grave in Missouri (where she wrote the books), as well as a recreated cabin on the spot where they first lived in Kansas. Quite the thrill for my daughter and myself.

Yay! Congratulations on 100 posts Vanessa. I love the photos of your kids. That's how mine turn out too. I don't even take Christmas card photos of them together anymore. I just slap on separate pictures. I'm going to have to try and think up a tricky Little House on the Prairie question. I'm pretty good with that show too...maybe we'll have to have a showdown...LOL.

Just noticed while you are your 100th post you are ALSO at your 300th follower! Pretty cool stuff, my dear.

Congrats! Remember us when you are published :)

Congratulations on your 100th post, but really... must you torture your babies that way!!! Ha!!! Don't we all have those pictures. MIne are more of the "if you take one more picture of me, I may kill you" glare! Can't wait to see what you and your sister are up too!

I am a die hard Little House fan myself! I can't even count the number of times I have read the books! My MIL and I are trying to plan a road trip to follow their trail and visit the homesteads! Wooo hoooo!

Congratulations Vanessa! It seems appropriate somehow that my comment follows Lynn's, since she is the one who introduced us, so to speak.

Your children are adorable and I think photos like this are the ones we remember and laugh about through the years. That makes them priceless.

By the way, I think we both had the same hairdresser when we were young. LOL.

Hugs,
Susan

Wanted to say that I saw a picture of your mom on your sister's blog- you look so much like her! I told your sister that if you ever come visit her, I'd meet you guys at Jungle Jim's! That place is humongous and your kids would enjoy it! You could take them to King's Island, too. Congrats on your posting and all those followers you've garnered! hugs, Sue

Congrats on 100 my friend!!! I have enjoyed everything!! I love the pictures of the kiddos, I know how you feel about things going downhill very quickly!! :)

Ok, What moment(s) in your life seemed to have changed you, kind of that "ah ha" moment that shaped you into the person you are today? Does that make sense? Could be a great moment or a bad moment but made you look at your life and how you want to live?
