If It's Yellow You Want...

...Then Yellow You Will Get!
I picked the perfect week to join the party over at The Rainbow Summer School with Jenny Matlock!

Aside from the fact that my daughter's ENTIRE room is done in yellow (you can read about it here), and that almost all of the main rooms of our house are painted yellow, there are other various shades of this beautiful color scattered throughout. And, when you live in the Northwest, having it feel sunny on the inside really helps when its not so sunny on the outside!
Ready to look around? Here we go!

This is my favorite reading chair in the living room. I found it at a second-hand store and discovered that it is an Ethan Allen! Recovered in a diamond yellow pattern with hints of red and it was meant to be!
This is in the same room as the above chair.

Hey! I may have to join one of those Rooster Parties!

I waited and waited for these candelholders to go on sale and finally scored them for $8 each! Don't you just love the intricate details of the birds and branches and just the softest of yellows?

This pattern is carried throughout the downstairs.

I'm slightly addicted to hanging plates on the wall! Such an easy, inexpensive way to decorate. I may have to dedicate an entire post to all the plates I have hanging around this place!

This little bench with its yellow striped cushions sits in our mudroom and is a great place for the rascals to store their shoes!

This tapestry hangs in our breakfast nook and my mom helped me pick it out when we moved into our first real home!

This is what your fanny would sit on if you pulled up a stool at my kitchen counter!

Wait...how did those get in here? Well, they ARE yellow!

These are the chairs in our breakfast nook. I found these cushions years ago and let me just tell you that this dark fabric hides EVERYTHING!

This is the pot that sits in the niche in the foyer. It was one of those great Ross scores!

And, now you know what time it was when I took all of these pictures! Happy Yellow Party Everyone!

I tried to visit the link to your daughters room but it wouldn't work!

So I will, instead, just comment on this lovely link to Alphabe-Thursdays Rainbow Summer School.

What a charming post.

I am amazed by the talent and design skills you have. Your ability to blend color and pattern into harmony and richness is really a talent.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

And thank you for linking this week.
