But, really, I am so excited to be participating in my very first Tabletop Tuesday Party with Marty at A Stroll Thru Life and Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on The Porch!
Marty is always so gracious and encouraging in her comments and she embraced me immediately into the blogging community. And on that note, I just want to say a big fat THANK YOU to all of you for truly making me feel so welcomed here in Blogland! I am having so much fun doing this and connecting with all you wonderful folks and being inspired by your amazing blogs!
This may end up being one of the rare times I actually link up with this party so I better get to it!

Every year our church puts on an event called "Holiday Dinner". It's an opportunity to invite friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. to a very special evening where each table is hosted by a woman who decorates it from top to bottom! That includes bringing your own linens, service ware, pitchers, you name it. These photos are from the last time I hosted a table.
I used antique linens tied with a green satin ribbon and a snowflake ornament as a gift to my guests. The silver belonged to my husband's Grandmother and was a wedding gift to her before it was a wedding gift to us!
These beautiful cups and saucers were on loan from my mother-in-law as well as the silver chargers. My guests also received those darling little triangle shaped boxes that contained Holiday Bath Salts. They were only $1 each at Michaels!
I used one of my outdoor planters to hold cream Poinsettias and placed atop a sheer green overlay it looked subtle and soft.
In addition to the green overlay, I layered white tablecloths including this cutwork one to give it a more vintage look.
Here is one last look at the whole table put together!
I'm pretty sure I didn't spend more than $20 on the entire setting just by simply using what I had at home and borrowing from my gracious mother-in-law! It was a wonderful evening and, if I have the energy, I hope to host another one this year!

Very beautiful setting, everything is perfect!!
That is simply stunning. You did a fabulous job on it. I love the colors and those triangular boxes bring out the color of the poinsettia. So beautiful.
You know what's weird?
I actually decorate a table (or two) at a friend's church for her every year, too!
I have the pictures to prove it ;)
But didn't think about posting them in HOT HOT summer, like smart you did!
Very pretty table!
You'll see mine come winter. maybe.
Blessings,
